Student Apps

Here is a list of Apps that we feel are worthy of giving a try.
Picture
This=That  Drag numbers and choose operations to build creative equivalencies while practicing math facts.

Sums Stacker  Sums Stacker is a "Math Doodles" activity that provides plenty of addition and subtraction practice, within a recreational math setting. The mathematical puzzle allows users to play with different representations of numbers, while developing their number sense to create strategies to help them solve problems.

TinkerBox  TinkerBox is a fun, free-to-play physics puzzle game. While it is full of interesting science facts and teaches basic engineering concepts, TinkerBox is more than just educational!

Picture
Slice It!  Slice It! allows you to cut shapes into desired slices of equal portions.  It becomes more difficult when the shapes are irregular.

Master Mind  Play this classic code breaking game custom made specially for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The object of the game is to correctly guess the exact sequence of light pegs, in both order and colour within as few guesses as possible. Once you have entered in a series of light pegs, press the "OK" button to reveal how you did. A white indicator reveals a light peg that is the correct colour, but in the wrong hole. A black indicator reveals a light peg that is the correct colour and in the correct hole. The order of indicator lights does not reflect which light pegs are correct.
